“Charm Bag & The Mongrelettes” An Interview on Pascal Reckless’ Radio Show

On Friday 14/7 at 16.00 Pascal Reckless hosts an interview at Indieground Onlineradio with the cunning CHARM BAG and the stunning Mongrelettes, just a few hours before their anticipated live on the stage of six d.o.g.s.

Rumble Skunk Records & Fuzz Overdose Records will be present at the studio along with the bands.

A few words about the bands:

Charm Bag are Fernando Smogger (Vocals and Guitar) and Ana Smogger (Vocals and Drums). They have formed a two-piece band from Seville (South Spain) for everyone who loves the primitive sound of Cramps, Gories and 60's Garage-Punk and Trash R'n'R!!!

The Mongrelettes are a female(majority) garage band (4 gals+1 guy) based in Athens, GR.
Their first meetings as a band took place in October 09. Their sound is mostly influenced by the mid 60s american and english scenes, as well as other strong sources such as greek and french 60s pop stuff and a variety of other revivals of the garage sound from the 80s until today.

Λίγα λόγια για τις μπάντες:

Οι Charm Bag σχηματίστηκαν πριν μερικά χρόνια στην Σεβίλλη της Ισπανίας. Ουσιαστικά αποτελούν το alter-ego των garage punkers, The Smoggers. Με σαφείς επιρροές από την 60’s garage punk σκηνή και συγκροτήματα όπως οι The Cramps, Deja Voodoo, Billy Childish κλπ. δημιουργούν ένα μοναδικό garage-punk-trash-voodoo-rock’n’roll ήχο.

Οι Mongrelettes - μια σχεδόν θηλυκή μπάντα - δημιουργήθηκαν τον Οκτώβρη του 2009 και αποτελούνται από τέσσερα κορίτσια και ένα αγόρι. Ο ήχος τους είναι ένα κράμα από garage punk και ψυχεδελική pop, με επιρροές που προέρχονται κυρίως από την σχετική punk σκηνή των μέσων του ‘60, αλλά και από την γαλλική και ελληνική pop σκηνή της ίδιας δεκαετίας, καθώς και αντίστοιχες αναβιώσεις ή προσομοιώσεις του garage/psych ήχου ως σήμερα.
